Nope. Just enjoying a break from the Trail for a couple of days courtesy of my inlaws who just returned to western North Carolina for the summer. After leaving Erwin, TN, we drove through Asheville, NC, and had dinner at www.earlygirleatery.com . (Excellent, by the way.) Then, back to Cherokee. I will be back on the trail later this week.

My wife and I just came back from Manchester VT the other day. We hiked the Appalachian trail on a quick 6 mile hike....guess what...we were attached by a Fisher Cat (30 lb carniverous weasle). The thing came right at us with its fangs, claws and this crazy scream! We ran so friggin fast thru the woods I dont even think a deer would have caught us.
Anyway, Good Luck and be safe....watch out for those Fisher Cats in Manchester.
