On April 21, 2010, after more than twenty years of dreaming, reading, planning, hoping, delaying, and anticipating, I started hiking the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine. 2,200 miles. Five million steps. Tradition demands that you assume a trail name while part of the thruhiker community. Mine will be OldSchool.

ReplyDeleteSome friends at work have been following you along wtih me ... one of them is from our Bristol, TN facility. She has indicated that they "would be glad to meet Jason and take him out to dinner one night or let him take a shower at our house/sleep in a real bed when he is close to us (Damascus would be the next close spot - or Roan Mountain that he has already passed)."
